Welcome!

This course goes beyond the typical foot-strengthening tips to explore building a resilient foundation that supports your entire body’s movement, power, and stability.

Here’s a Sneak Peek at What You’ll Learn:

The Foot as a Functional Powerhouse: Discover how each part of your foot—from the first metatarsal to the heel—works together like a finely tuned system. We’ll explore the “two functional feet” within each foot, showing how the unique asymmetrical architecture provides balance, strength, and flexibility for any movement.

Mastering the Arches for Stability and Power: Think of your foot’s arches as natural stabilizers. You’ll learn to activate the transverse arch, get off your toes, and harness the foot’s structure to reduce strain on your knees, as well as bracing and gripping in the hips and lower back.

Unlocking Movement with Pitch, Yaw, and Roll: Forget the old-school cues like “pronation” or “dorsiflexion.” We’ll focus on three-dimensional axes of movement, like pitch, yaw, and roll, to help you tap into your foot’s natural rotation and alignment. These concepts help with everything from hiking to strength training, making each step efficient and powerful.

The Power of the Foot as a Lever: Discover how leveraging the foot as a second-class lever improves your movement efficiency, conserves energy, and keeps you moving without strain or fatigue. This course combines anatomy with practical, real-life applications, giving you tools to enhance your workouts, protect and lubricate your joints, and enjoy improved performance in all activities.

This course makes what you do more effective and efficient without doing corrective exercises or adding loads of accessory work. You will work the course concepts in what you currently do, i.e. on your walks/runs, on the mountain 🥾⛷️going up and down stairs, in yoga 🧘, in the weight room 🏋🏻or in your sport 🤼‍♀️ .
